Setting up paddocks

How to add paddocks and set rotation targets.

Paddocks represent grazing areas on your property. Once set up, you can assign animals to paddocks, record moves, and track rotation.

Add a paddock

  1. 1Go to Paddocks
  2. 2Tap + Paddock
  3. 3Enter the paddock name and area (hectares)
  4. 4Optionally set a target graze days and target rest days
  5. 5Tap Save

Target graze and rest days

These optional targets drive the rotation badge system. If you set a target graze of 14 days and the mob has been in a paddock for 16 days, a red badge appears as a reminder to move them.

  • Target graze days — how long a mob should stay in before moving on
  • Target rest days — how long a paddock should be rested before restocking

Paddock notes

Use the notes field to record permanent features — water trough locations, fencing issues, soil type, or improvement history. Notes appear on the paddock card.

If you don't use rotational grazing, you can skip the target fields — the paddock system still tracks which animals are where.
