Moving animals between paddocks
How to record a paddock move for an individual animal or a whole group.
Every time stock moves between paddocks, recording the move keeps your rotation history accurate and starts the days-grazed counter.
Move from an animal's page
- 1Open the animal's detail page
- 2Tap "Move to paddock"
- 3Select the destination paddock and move date
- 4Tap Save
Move a whole group
- 1Open the group's detail page
- 2Tap "Move group"
- 3Select the destination paddock and date
- 4Tap Save — all animals in the group are moved at once
Move history
The full paddock move history is visible on each animal's detail page and on the paddock card. This forms your NLIS movement trail.
Moving a group updates every animal's paddockId. If an animal needs to stay behind, remove it from the group before moving.
